Missions
TRUMC is sending forth a group to work and fellowship among some of God's neediest children in El Salvador. The group will be led by TRUMC Associate Minister, Mollie Bame and TRUMC member, Tim Teaster. They leave on July 26 and return on August 3, 2010.
How can you help this team? It takes an entire church to send a mission team! They will be the eyes, hands, and hearts of TRUMC as they serve God in El Salvador. You can help in one of three ways:
-
You can pray for them as they prepare for their trips as well as each day that they are in the mission field.
- A sign up sheet is posted in the West Foyer for anyone willing to write a letter of encouragement to a TRUMC International Mission Team member. Your words will help a team member face the challenges of the day; an inspirational quote, a scripture passage, or even a child’s drawing can be a powerful source of encouragement as they work together as our hands and feet in mission with the El Salvadoran and Zimbabwean people. Put the mission team members name on the envelope of the letter and return to the box in the receptionist’s office by Sunday, July 25.
- We are also accepting donations of ibuprofen and multi-vitamins for children and adults for team members to take with them to El Salvador. A donation box for the medicine is located with the letter sign up sheet in the West Foyer. Medicine donations are also due by Sunday, July 25.
